RJ Smiltneek
Senior Engineer, Senior Consultant and Chairman of the Board

RJ Smiltneek received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University in 1951 and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Wisconsin. His professional career has been remarkably rich and varied. He holds numerous patents and has a record of decades of distinguished service in a wide range of manufacturing, engineering and business enterprises.

Within Uniplex Corporation, he lead the project which automated the antiquated assembly process of pvc components for the water pollution control industry. He also designed and built many other innovative processes and products. Examples include metal working production line tooling, co-axial plastic extrusion dies, high production die presses for paper conversion processes, precision doctor blade systems for large flexographic printing presses, production line mechanisms for the corrugated box manufacturing industry and a high speed suction feeder for printing presses.

He has designed the plant and operating systems for scrap automobile shredding, utilizing new concepts in high efficiency reclamation of junk automobiles. He also has designed new balers, guillotine shears and squeeze boxes for scrap yards, invented a zero-friction, self-aligning hydraulic ram coupling and developed a new composite pipe with superior physical characteristics for underground service.
